Anyone have this completed? Just got a letter from my dealer stating they need the truck for a full day. Do they really need that much time for a program update?

The update itself will take a few minutes for them to do. The thing is, when you drop your truck off, it falls into a queue until a tech gets to it. It'll probably take them a few hours before your turn comes up and they do it, but they say a day to buy themselves time. It's always better to under-promise and over-deliver.Anyone have this completed? Just got a letter from my dealer stating they need the truck for a full day. MY 22-24 Has to get it done at a dealership, over the air updates for these years are only for the infotainment system - not yet availableI got the mailer about 2 weeks ago and when I was at the dealer last week getting emissions test for my plate renewal they said it would probably be an over-the-air update I haven't checked or paid any attention if my truck updated.
Just make sure they don't charge extra. When Ford (parent company, not dealership) here did a survey a few years ago they asked if owners would be willing to pay $75 extra for mobile service.Ford's Mobile Service did this update and it took only 10 minutes. To the OP, is Ford's Mobile Service available in your rea? I highly recommend using this service!
Wrong year - can't get those kind of updates.I got the mailer about 2 weeks ago and when I was at the dealer last week getting emissions test for my plate renewal they said it would probably be an over-the-air update I haven't checked or paid any attention if my truck updated.
Yeah I know that it was the dealership that said it.Wrong year - can't get those kind of updates.
Like asking the quick lube guy at the dealership - question above their pay-grade, they'll say anything if they really don't know.
Please report back with how long yours takes when done.A lot of these will be done OTA. It takes about a half hour to do it.
