I second this. Next time you see it, touch it to see if it brings something up on your touchscreen. A fault would show on the cluster; not the touchscreen.
I added a set of components to the rear doors of my F150 and it made a very noticiable difference in being able to hear the rear speakers. I also made a FORScan change to the ACM to tell the ACM that there was a speaker and tweeter. This was a long time ago.....I don't remember if I had a 0 or a...
Attached are the wiring diagrams for the 8-speaker B&O system. The c-pillar speakers are powered by the ACM. Unfortunately, the B&O systems in Ford vehicle are tuned to be front-stage bias and the rear speakers are just there for fillers which is why you barely hear them.
The update itself will take a few minutes for them to do. The thing is, when you drop your truck off, it falls into a queue until a tech gets to it. It'll probably take them a few hours before your turn comes up and they do it, but they say a day to buy themselves time. It's always better to...
ASS doesn't always shut down the engine when you come to a stop.. Certain conditions have to be met like battery SoC being up to spec, cabin temperature at or below whatever you have your a/c set to, and several other factors, I'm sure. It's in their best interest do to the work......otherwise...
If anyone needs to files to program the TRM with the latest firmware, lmk. I have them for both a 2024 Maverick with 4k tow and a 2025 one with 4k tow, as well.
Once a vehicle syncs with the cloud, whatever changes you made with FORScan become you new ab data. FDRS cannot be used to compare before and after config. You can only see the config in PTS/OASIS and even then, you'll only see the data from the last time the vehicle synced.
Calibration files...
In my case, I'd rather spend an additional $5 a month in fuel than to have my engine shut off in 90 degree Miami weather and cut my air conditioner off. How much fuel it actually saves is debatable.
I would not say that is obvious. Even if it was, you do not need to revert FORScan changes for a dealer visit.......especially just an oil change. As a dealer employee for 16 years and counting, I can tell you nobody there will notice or care.
2024 and down Mavericks are not capable of OTA's. That is a general statement and applies to all Sync 4 vehicles capable of OTA's. The dealer bulletin is attached if you or anyone wants to read through it.
They are correct......if FDRS is not pulling the correct programming for the ACM/DSP due to back end data issues, there is nothing the dealer can do but wait for engineers to fix the issue on their side.
Even if you have auto updates set to off, you will still get a notification that there is an update in queue. The difference is, you will need to manually give it permission to install instead of it installing on its own based on your set auto updates schedule.
The DSP is the amp that powers certain speakers on B&O equipped vehicles. In your model year with the 8 speaker system, there is a DSP and these are the speakers they power:
@Heffthelegend You can 100% change the speaker config with FORScan in the ACM. The APIM itself does not supply power to the speakers; it only provide tjhe signal to the ACM and DSP if it has one.
Since the truck is connected to the Ford app, it would have reported any codes to the cloud. Message me the VIN and I can check to see if it did report anything.
