I would guess no one is tracking you as long as you make your payment on time. Miss a couple payments and the repo man working for Ally Financial will be tracking you.

Our maverick came with a sticker claiming that our Mav was secured by small clear dots. Not sure how it worked, but imagine it had something to do with stolen parts identification.

Based on my conversation with the dealer where I bought my Maverick, that sticker is typically required by the dealer's insurance. If the vehicle is stolen from the lot and parted out, the individual parts are marked so they can be identified by law enforcement. It's a component-marking theft deterrent rather than an electronic tracker.

My Maverick had these on every moving body panel (doors, hood, tailgate). The numbers are cut out because they use a UV-reactive adhesive meant to leave a permanent chemical footprint on the paint.

I peeled my stickers off immediately after taking delivery, and if you shine a blacklight on the area now, you can see the glowing UV residue left behind. On mine, it just looks like a solid glowing rectangle because the sticker was removed before a distinct number stencil could permanently set, but it confirms the hidden UV tracking element is there.

I cannot find any stickers like that anywhere on mine. Ally Financial is big into auto financing and insurance. I do not do any business with them.

I'm not worried about the repo man as I paid cash. From what you guys are saying they probably put the sticker on all the vehicles on the lot. I know on the Ford app I can see where my truck is anytime so I knew something was able to track it. I couldn't figure out why something from Ally financial was on there as I bought the truck outright. RodLS what was on the stickers you pulled off. That one sticker is all I see.

Many threads have shown that the dealer is indeed willing to put stickers like those on all the incoming vehicles as a deterrent.

But even more have shown they are willing to add the extra GPS device or sending unit plugged into your OBD2 port from behind that is using the trucks power.
