Does anyone else drive in Econ mode the majority of the time to increase gas mileage?

I can't find any information that states this would harm the vehicle. The performance declines slightly, but I can deal with this if it means better gas mileage and no long-term impact.

Performance doesn't decline.

The feel of the Go pedal changes. Just have to press harder to obtain the same results.

It changes the feel of the Go and brake pedals.
To help YOU drive more economically.

You can obtain the exact some thing learning how to press on the pedals in Normal mode.
Depends on how much you want to notice gauges or such to be more eco, or just drive like always and hope for the best in Eco mode.

There is a change to AC rate of cooling in ECO mode, as well as how fast it'll get back up to speed in cruise control, just in case it might stay in EV longer, or just gentler on the gas anyway.

It's designed as a driving mode.
What type of long-term impact were you expecting?

I'm hoping the long-term impact is saving money on gas. I'm really checking to see if there are any negative impacts on the truck long-term. I don't see why there would be, but I'm no expert.

I don't think you need to be an expert. That's left to the engineers.
The engineers designed it as a driving mode. The same as towing and Sport.
I don't believe they would have done that if there would be a negative/detrimental impact.

I went 4 years with never using it.

Recently I noticed it tempers Cruise Control to my liking. It will accelerate more gently in cruise, often staying in EV mode. Like when there is a slow down and then you are attempting to regain original setpoint.

All other modes accelerate briskly and never in EV mode when CC is on.

Never safe to assume.

i stopped using ECO mode. I light up the L button (the only downside is that whenever you say L button everyone will feel the need to remind you that the engine braking regen doesn't light up the brake lights) and drive in normal mode. L button makes the ECO mode regen redundant.

I wish I could have the extra regen breaking from eco mode in normal mode. That would be perfect, imo.
Do you always want the slightly extra slow down, since it's not really that much?
Or just at certain times?

If you don't have someone tailing you that it matters your brake lights are not on - you can at least keep your foot on the Go pedal.

By pressing the Low button.

I normally don't need more aggressive slowdown in coasting - except getting off highways, and having fun driving in the Ozarks.

In either case - pushing on the Low for quick slowdown, even if I overcome some of it with the Go pedal, is sometimes easier than foot to brake to add more regen slowing.

But if most your situations are indeed needing just a tad more slowdown and not needing to brake to add a little bit extra and then more and more - then yeah Eco is better idea.
