Well, on my way to work today a hit a deer while going 55mph. No airbag deployment and everyone is fine. Lots of front damage, but somehow no dash warning lights and I was able to drive the half mile to the repair shop like normal, if anyone was wondering pre-collision breaking does NOT work for a deer, the more you know lol. The second picture is where his slobbery face hit the windshield. 🤬 I always felt so bad for the guys here posting pictures of their wrecked trucks now here I am, enjoy your mavericks for me today boys, you never know what tomorrow holds.

UPDATE 6/21. Quote came back from the shop at $10,721 for the damage, not totaled, and I just have to pay the $500 deductible thankfully. I'm actually pretty impressed with how little damage it did all things considered,I also learned that the headlights are 1k a pop😮.

With fewer and fewer hunters, the herds just keep growing. Up here in Maine, I've seen them standing around birdfeeders at houses in the middle of town.

Oof, that's heartbreaking to see -- especially on another Area 51 Mav.

Had to brake suddenly just the other day on the way to the grocery store in mine, but that was in town, so I was only going like 30.

Sorry that happened to you. We have way too many swamp donkeys where we live in eastern North Carolina. Not as many hunters as their used to be. I hit one with my F150 a few years ago. My son took one out with his Mustang. Deputies at the Sheriff's Office are hitting them all the time. Keeps the body shop busy.

Ouch. Sucks. Hate to see another A51 out of commission, but glad you're okay.

No air bag is good. Looks like your standard hood, grille, fender, bumper, lights radiator job to me. Hope that's all it is and not to many under hood bits. I do like the big hoop that runs around the front of the engine bay. That's the piece that keeps deer from totalling Mavericks.

I know two people locally who had pickups totaled from hitting deer this year. One Tacoma and one Silverado. Both hit at 75mph. Glad your airbags weren’t needed.

Truth here! I’ve seen the “second one” (always a buck during the rut) just plow right into the side of a vehicle. 😉

Deer should hunted 365 days a yr. They are a nuisance and dumb animals. Had 2 walk out in front of me a couple of yrs ago on the highway. Messed my Honda Fit up real good.

Lots of them in MI and lots of hunters, too...but we unbalanced the system when we took the natural predators away, and now the only one left is us and our cars...

We have coyotes, us, and ticks. Ticks are the worst. Hate seeing deer covered with them.
I'd buy them flea and tick collars if I could just figure out how to get 'em to stand still long enough to put 'em on ;)

Agreed, I want to see deer on my plate not on my hood

Forgot about the coyotes, but there aren't enough of them around here to help keep the deer population in check.
