So y’all beat me up a bit with my K&N filter post

Now I want to know
Will a 25 Tremor be ok towing a 2900 lbs travel trailer
Has surge brakes of course
I’ve never read definitively the issue with tremor not being able to tow 4K

Well, I'll start. Being in Florida maybe the Tremor with it's smaller radiator will be stressed. I have no experience with the EB, maybe there's a lot of leeway on it especially at near sea level.

Logic says: The Tremor and Lobo both have lower towing limits. The only "different" part they have in common vs other Mavericks is the Dana "twin clutch" torque-vectoring rear differential. So, it's probably a hard limit on that specific part.

My other truck has a torque-vectoring diff, and it has a 5k towing limit. So the lower limit isn't down to torque vectoring, it's down to the specific Dana unit Ford is using. I'd be worried about exceeding that specific rating.

Reality says: it'll work until it won't

You also have to take into consideration that if the 2900# is dry weight what’s the weight driving down the road with water tank full, all of your baggage and all of your supplies.

You will be pushing it by towing it .

I have a Tremor, and tow right at the 2K limit.

A couple of differences/things to consider
1) Due to the angle lower fascia, the Tremor has a smaller radiator/less coolant capacity.
2) Although the Tremor has the same final drive ratio as the 4K-equipped trucks, it has larger diameter tires, reducing the overall gear ratio.
3) The suspension is fairly soft, with a 200# tongue weight I'm seeing a 1" drop at the wheelwells. Not sure what your TT has for tongue weight, air bags or some kind of load assist may be needed.

It depends on how you drive while towing. And how far.
The mfg tow limits are a very conservative figure, given to cover their a$$ if there is damage to the vehicle; "it says not to tow above X lbs, we're not covering the damage under warranty". fwiw; I towed over 12 tons of trailer and backhoe with my Transit (not Connect) that has a 5000lb towing capacity. It was only about 30 miles each way, and I drove slow and cautious. Absolutely zero problems; other than going 45mph on the section of highway and getting honked at by people that need to go 80+ in the 55 zone.

Personally, I would feel fine with towing 5000lbs with my FWD Maverick/Ranchero for a few hundred miles. But I would not expect to be able to drive like I wasn't towing, nor even attempt it. The problems happen when people try to drive like they always do, especially if they are "look at me" jackrabbit speedy drivers. They reap what they sow.

One of the issues is FWD and trailer tongue weight. Which is why the AWD models have a higher listed towing capacity; the FWD is just as capable of towing that weight, but there can be issues if the front wheels are "tipped up" a bit by tongue weight.

Has anyone tried a 5th wheel like the Scamp yet? 2700lbs, 3500 loaded.

I’d pull 3,000 with my non 4K equipped Ecoboost with no worries at all.
I’d leave it in Tow/haul of course. If I pulled often In hot weather I’d add a tranny fluid cooler and keep an eye on my engine temps.
But wouldn’t do that with the Hybrid,

I suggest you consult your owner's manual regarding towing capacity of your vehicle.

TL: DR version: RTFM.
It will tow a semi trailer loaded, for a short distance. If you don't have the 4k option then you really are asking us if it is okay to use the vehicle in a way it is not built for.
No
I’m not asking for permission
More interested in the people have towed more then rated

May the odds be ever in your favor. (Because the warranty won't be.)
My good friend owns the dealership
He said go for it
Anything breaks
Call me well pick it up!!!
Not worried about warranty honestly
Just curious of what people out there have pulled with one.
My biggest wonder
Is do I need the air bag kit due to the softer suspension

For Christ sakes, just go do it, then make any necessary adjustments. You've got a dealer promising to have your back, why are you even asking??

Come back and tell us in 3 months how it's going.
