I provided 6 quarts to the dealer and apparently they used all of it and did not need to add more.

Today I added another bike rack to my 1UP rack. Now I can carry two bikes with ease. Folds up behind the Mav great and when it's folded all the way down I can still open the tailgate all the way. Can't wait for warmer weather and bike season.

Last week I spoke with Ben, the founder of BamBeds. He informed me that it not fit with my molle side panels. I decided to give it a shot and cut the sides if needed. I cut two inches off each side and they fit! I am going to sand down the edges and add some stick on carpet. It will be nice to have two levels of storage.
My other thought was if I wanted to hide something from plain sight I could have it underneath so no one could see. I will be relocating my fire extinguisher and quick fist mounts. More pictures to follow.

Last week I cut two inches off each side on the BamBed. After that it fits with my molle panels great. I added some stick on carpet too. I need to figure out the extinguisher mount and the quick fist mounts. I really like how useable it's becoming. Super quick to remove also.

The Mav got an oil change today. Only about 4548 miles on this oil.

Little update on the Maverick.
Two of my Lasfit taillight bulbs burned out for the third time. I'm done with them. I changed to Diode Dynamic bulbs.
Resealed my bed cap and no more water leaks in.
I did a road trip to Michigan this past weekend. The truck did great. I was averaging around 25MPG at 80MPH.

Good bye Maverick?
Nope haha. The 2024 Ranger Raptor I ordered in May 2023 was delivered last Thursday May 2024. I went to the dealership on Saturday to check it out and possibly buy it.
The whole ordering process and waiting was super annoying. When I ordered the truck the sprang a surprise markup on me. I told them no thanks and was about to leave but they agreed to cut the markup in half and I could get my deposit back if I did not buy the truck.
After the year wait the Raptor showed up dirty, driven 87 miles and had some random people's phones connected to the radio. I wasn't too pleased with that. After the truck came back from the detail shop I started looking at it, the first thing I noticed was a rock chip on the fender about the passenger side headlight. I didn't find any other imperfections after that.
The sales guy and I went for a quick test drive. The Raptor drives very much how you expect it. Very body on frame feeling haha. It wanders a little and feels like it's floating. The V6 sound horrible in my opinion. The power was nice though.
Right when we sat down to talk I told the sales guy I wasn't buying the truck. Between the price, the annoying process, and it's not practical for me right now. My Maverick is perfect and I plan on keeping it for a long time.

Snapped this picture last night. Also I finally had the 2 post lift I bought over a year ago wired up. Going to make oil changes super easy!

Today some friends and I installed new gas struts for my truck cap window. I wanted the window to open more so I ordered 11 inch struts.
We had the drill out the old rivets and drill one new hole to move the lower mounting point down about an inch. We reused the original lower hole, it’s now the upper hole. Super simple to do and now the window opens much higher.
The struts I ordered were 30LB compared to the 24LB the cap came with. It takes too much force to close the window now so I ordered some 22LB struts. Going to try those tomorrow.

Today I did an oil change and tire rotation. First time having the Maverick on the lift. The lift makes the oil change and rotate a breeze.
