RS Brembos on Maverick

The credit goes to Lawrence Giles as he told me about this a while ago. He’s been working on a front kit and should hopefully have the adapters ready soon. This is just dry fit with the Mav rotor. Wheels are 18x8.5 43 offset and per Americas Tires website these wheels fit a 16 RS. I bought a set a focus and maverick brake lines and will have some hybrid SS brake lines made. Rotors pads and hardware aren’t too expensive so it’s really just the caliper bracket.

I get that bigger is always better and all of that, but did you feel your Mav brakes were somehow deficient? I don't do much spirited driving or trailer pulling so I'm not the best one to judge, but the stock brakes seem adequate to me.

Sufficient for stock even decently modded truck they should be sufficient. I would rather address them now than find out they aren’t for an 11 second capable truck.

1: 500+lb weight difference
2: A number of folk are now pushing 400hp on Maverick builds
3: Why not?

Is a setup like this necessary for most Mavericks (even decently modified ones)? No, not really. But some folk are startin to go pretty heavy in terms of tunes, builds, etc and like having every extra bit of assurance. Others simply enjoy modifying or beefing up whatever they're able to, all for the sheer love of doing it.

Because this year there will be at least 20 or more 11 second Mavericks and a few of us will have doubled the 300 hp mark.

good upgrade for a road track Mav, drag racers wouldn't want any extra weight.

On the hybrid, does not the brace on the rear have the same clearance or less than the caliper? Will 16 work on hybrid rear?

How many pistons are in your calipers for your Audi? Are they dual pistons, single, or quad? If they are double-piston calipers you already have more stopping power than a stock Maverick with single-piston calipers.

If you make the brackets let me know i would be interested on buying them.

With the steel wheels brakes felt good with my maverick . When i installed my 19's the truck felt like brake had more travel for some reasson.
Then i bought some EBC yellow brake pads from a focus and they feel better i even took the truck for a road.course and never had brake problems .

But i wanted to do this Focus Rs calipers i probably buying them new from my dealer. What kind of rotors you think will fit on the mavericks

im waiting on a Maverick knuckle and rotors so I can have the bracket made. Already have the brake lines that will connect these to the Maverick.
