Finally, picked mine up after 2 days short of 13 months of waiting. Decided to lease it for 36/12k via Ford using my protected rates at the time of order (9/15/22). Not the greatest least rate, but better having a sub $500 a month payment for 3 years vs over $500 for 6. Plus, my rational, if Ford finally releases a plug in AWD model on the redesign, that's what I ultimately wanted. So this is a good bridge for that time. If not, I'll just buy it at the end. 👍

I'm gonna post pics in another thread.

I don't have my Maverick yet but already have the cash ready to pay it in cash. I can stomach eating the depreciation on a brand new vehicle especially with the crazy used market now, and I tend to drive my vehicles for over 10 years. What I can't stomach is paying interest on something that depreciates like a vehicle. I've never paid interest on a vehicle and I never will.

No special interest rate when I took delivery in July 2023, and with the time it took to get the truck. 5K on credit and the rest in Benjamins. Zero out credit card balance on next statement.

I would have paid cash... But we didn't have any!

We paid $29,620 and put $3162 down. Paid $4000 for a topper at ARE. Then drove across country for $600 in gas, then paid $800 to ship it to Maui. Also spent about $4500 on a 2.5 week road trip including airfare to the mainland. Finance rate was like 7% for 5 years.

Paid cash as I had most of the funds to cover it after selling my Tacoma to Carvana. I wasn't expecting it, but the dealer said I was eligible for 0% since that was the rate when I placed the order (over a year earlier). I regret not taking it as I should have banked the money and let it earn a few % for me, but I was caught off guard by the offer and honestly just wanted to get out of the dealership with the truck.

Another follow up question: if you financed, what is the rate?
I got the 1.9 rate back in Oct. 21, picked up 8 months later they honored the rate, put half down, have a 22FX4 load up

I had the money to pay in cash but 0% 36 Months was too good to pass up. I'll use my money to make more money! 👍

I put 15K down and financed the remaining 8K at 1.9% for 60 months back in Oct 22. I like only having a 150 per month payment.

Paying cash for MY24 Lariat once it arrives. My work vehicle allowance is average 1200 a month so that covers my XL 430 month payment. Will probably just pay it off when I turn it over to my Daughter and she can pay insurance and fuel.

My XLT Hybrid with Lux Pkg., CoPilot360, Spray-in Bedliner & Cargo Mgmnt. Sys. was $32720 OTD. I got a $28k Auto Loan for 72 mos. at 5.47% APR from Navy Fed'l. C.U. (monthly payment is $457), and used a credit card (2% Back) for the $4720 Down Payment at the Ford Dealer.
