Hi just got a new Lariat today loving it. I noticed the backup camera does not beep when something is close by, Is this a setting I missed? Thanks

Ok thanks that makes sense. Can I upgrade? So the backup camera and ultrasonic proximity sensors(the beeping when you get close to an object) are two separate systems. Most Mavericks only have the backup camera, no bumper sensors, do there'll be no audible warnings, even though the camera shows the truck getting close to another object.

No, object detection is provided by the radar sensors in the rear bumper, not the camera.I have an ECO and Lariat lux package. When I am backing up and an object is detected by the backup camera, it beeps.
That is part of the copilot 360.Do you have the luxury version? My non-Lux Lariat does not beep as there are no proximity sensors in the rear bumper. I believe only the Lux packages have sensors.

Different systems. Detecting objects near-directly behind the vehicle is via ultrasonic SONAR sensors and only come on the Lariat Luxury Package or specifically optioned fleet orders. The RADAR CoPilot 360 sensors are aimed more to the sides and provide the rear cross-traffic alerts backing up.That is part of the copilot 360.
