FYI also if you're taking very short trips on a relatively cold engine (even during hot summer), your MPG efficiency will be kinda low in the first five minutes until the engine warms up. For example my commute to work is only 5 minutes, so I actually get kinda poor MPG efficiency (like 25-29mpg), compared to my 10-minute drive to the grocery store I get 40mpg+ average on that run.

Great video. You have a talent for real world reviews and communication.

I've spent a lot (too much) of time over the many years on my Houston commute and my anylitically mind thinks about the effeciancy cost. Stop and go traffic and for 8 to 9 months warm to hot humid weather. AC is used almost year round here. I suspect the Hybrid will not be returning my mileage in the 40's for my commute, but will be acceptable. Too many electrical load accessories are required; especially the AC Compressor and Coolant Pump.

When I owned my VW TDI (2005 model); it would peek at 49mpg in the winter and high 30's during AC season.
