FYI if a chip or crack is less than a half inch and not right in line of sight (driver or cameras) you could repair it yourself for $20. Safelite or the like can, too-

Kits are available at any auto parts store for injecting glue to hold the glass together so cracks don't spread.

I repaired a chip on a Subaru in 2014 and it is still fine, even after living in upstate NY (cold and reheat in the sun very often) and in GA (HOT) a couple years each.

Hmmm...my Mini Cooper got a new windshield awhile back and it needed no calibration even though it has cruise control. What is it about the Maverick's cruise control that would require the windshield to be calibrated? I can see why it would be needed for Lane Assist, but we don't have that feature.

Just had my xlt done today and the installers found out it is recalibrated when they drive it so no real tool needed I do have the copilot 360. They took it for a spin and said everything is fine. I haven’t checked it yet.

Something to look forward to. I want a stereo upgrade and the best thing I've come up with is sound insulation. If that little chip I got from a rock last night grows I'll be sure and check into upgrading the glass.

My insurance paid for the last two windshields on my Subaru and there was no increase in premiums.

I gave up on trying to get my cracked XLT replaced with acoustic and I’ve still been waiting almost 8 weeks now to just replace it with a regular one. Glass place said dealer got one last week finally but it arrived damaged and will take at least another week to get another one.
