I ended up calling Downtown ford in Toronto 400km from where I live after months of nonsense in my local area... 2500$ deposit but thankfully I'm in a position where it's no problem. Salesperson is John Mitchell first person with any customer service skills I've spoken to.
I'll update again once I get my confirmation email.

P.S. I looked into getting a Maverick in the US and driving it over and it doesn't make sense financially $$$ for anyone else wondering. It would add about 4300$ to the MSRP plus about 2-3 weeks on phone with customs and headaches. Based on today's exchange rate.

You nailed it. I was looking at getting Lariat as it finally is here with hybrid, and gets the features I am missing (push button + keyless entry etc, lane keep / radar), but the rates are absolutely straight F'd.

And with removal of standard features and downgrades..... Doesn't make sense.

I'll keep my loaded XLT. Only thing I am missing is the rear window, just because it wasn't powered. If it was powered for XLT I would have got it. Who wants to go to the back seat to open and close it, silly haha.

For what it's worth I was told a 4 to 6 month wait for my XL Hybrid. Ordered thru a high volume dealership in Toronto.

Dang.. I should have gotten a written commitment for a wait time 😂

That's fast! I ordered an Ecoboost XLT from a dealership in Calgary on September 7th. Still nothing. I believe Ford is producing a lot of Lariats in December.

Yeah, that seems pretty normal for these secretive Canadian dealerships. Ford Canada also is remarkably uncommunicative, and don't even send out the 45-day updates that Ford USA sends you. The incompetence is astounding. The best bet is to get your dealer order# (4 characters, usually using your first & last initials) and the dealer name or dealer code, and use the Ford chat app to get the real status. Don't hold your breath unless you've been waiting over a year.

This is typical Canadian customer service. Almost every business that operates in both the US and Canada has way better service south of the border. I think the problem is Canadians are too laid back as consumers so businesses just do whatever. In the US the consumer is more demanding and has more options.
