It appears curved even though the cut is straight. I have them follow the roof line to the tint runs parallel. Yes it is personal preference.
When I drove it yesterday, I noted that from inside the vehicle that it does appear to curve down

I originally had the top strip (15%) on the windshield tinted but now that the windshield is being replaced (rock crack) I am going to skip having it done on the new windshield. Bottom line I just dont like it; especially at night.
Your thoughts? Thank You
Each summer, we get around a ten day run of plus 110 degree weather with a sun that will bleach your bones while you're still alive. Having the windows tinted and the strip across the top of the windshield makes a huge difference in the amount of heat you feel on your skin while driving as well as the temperature inside the truck.

As someone who has gone a couple rounds with skin cancer, I appreciate the protection that tinted windows afford. I use dark tint on the front windows and the limo grade tint (darker) on the windshield strip, bringing it down to the A line. It looks straight across in the photo but it's actually curved to match the top of the windshield. The back windows and rear cab window came tinted on my '25 Lariat Hybrid. Works for me.

I did my whole windshield. Not a fan of just the strip. Personal preference though obviously.

I wish I had mine trimmed to the bottom edge of the camera housing like yours.

In a different threadon on this enveaver, I posted a warning on the length of a brow. Where I live (Okla), you are not allowed the tent a windshield below the AS1 line (it's a mark on the windshield). I know people who have been ticketed for exceeding that limit. So, check your state laws before you tent any part of your windshield.

If skin cancer is the main concern. Ceramic tint is much more important at blocking UV then just a dark tint. Hopefully you went with both...

Love my Ceramic on the windshield. I can feel my dashboard is cooler on hot sunny days than my cars without ceramic. Yes, it was pricey, but I will never go without it, on future cars. I did ceramic all around.

I didn’t do a strip because it would hit right in middle of my eye so I did entire windshield in %35 no problems driving at night.

Thanks for the advice. Greatly appreciated. I have not heard of ceramic on the windows. Can you tell me what product you use and how it's applied?

The new windshield was installed and I decided not to add the strip My overall view is better, especially at night. And the cabin of my Maverick was to put it bluntly to dark. That strip affected my night time vision big time. Ty for all of the sage comments on my thread!

The stock windshield glass blocks something like 95-98% of UV. This is because it is thicker. Two layers.

I forgot the sides are still good, but not as good. Thinner glass. One layer.

Ceramic tint looks like normal tint and installed like normal tint. The difference is it has microscopic ceramic particles in it to block IR/UV and hence better heat rejection. Pretty much all professional tint manufacturers have a line with ceramic which is more expensive than their non-ceramic counterparts.
