Follow up #2. new Maverick

I got my new Maverick this week.

Miss my Area51 but the Azure Gray isn’t too bad.

Got a 2026 XLT with Luxury package Hybrid. 6mi MSRP. $35,635. Paid $32,891. Truecar says off the charts deal.

Only issue is insurance went up huge on the hybrid.

I like the Azure grey (dirty blue)! Even if it does cost a little more.

My “Baby Blue”. Saved me yesterday. Doingn 75 on the interstate and big deer decided to jump out of the long grass. Hit dead center at 75. Not a scratch on me, a little burn from the airbag but can’t believe I am still alive. It was like Grand theft auto. Hit the deer while airborne direct center hit on grill and through the deer about 10 feet in the air and across 2 lanes of traffic.

I am crushed that I can’t replace my Area 51 with a new one.
Really want the orange but wife and daughters have forbid.

My question is, do you have deer whistles? My wife has a bronco spot, and I have a 23 mav. I love this truck and never want to lose it. We drive to Wisconsin a lot due to in-laws in remote places, and after 8 years, no deer.

They are cheap. Had them on my old Dodge we drove to Burning Man for 6 years. It's open cow country in Nevada; I never had a problem. (cows like hot roads as night in the middle of freaking NOWHERE). Cheap on Amazon.

If some acoustic genius knows the spectrum of cow hearing -VS- deer hearing, I would like to know.

23 mav volocity blue
22 Bronco sport, cyber Orange

I could not be in love with a car more. Both are heavily tricked out.

deer around here get used to anything and ignore it,the only thing that keeps them out of my garden is electricity and double fence,I am sure if deer whistles were that effective all the dogs in the neighborhood would go off everytime you came through and the insurance companies would give them away,I even tried those things made racket and cast a high intensity light to protect my fruit trees( worked for about a week-the the leaf eaters came in force again the deer are are attracted to left over road salt and lush grass that grows along the roads, their seems no breakthroughs in deer intelligence other animals seem to adapt to changes in the environment( not whitetails)
