Just ordered a set but Amazon said that was the last one in stock. Are in on Amazon 12/10
I don't see how, they are securely mounted to the paint with tape(no movement at all). I sanded the top edge just in case. The mud flaps I can understand paint rubbing (I used protective tape) on my Blue Maverick. The Cyber Orange the mud flaps went on top of the Fender Flairs.Just know that after market fender flares will rub through your paint down to the bare metal.
Have you seen or tried the Mabett flares? They won't budge after a proper installation. In fact I wish I would have waited to install the front ones as I need to remove the front fascia to install the towing baseplate.Just know that after market fender flares will rub through your paint down to the bare metal.
If the tape is alone the top edge than you will probably be safe.I don't see how, they are securely mounted to the paint with tape(no movement at all). I sanded the top edge just in case. Thank you for sharing your experience!Despite the initial damage, I polished out what I could, installed xpel around the edges and reinstalled these flares. There's no better value out there right now. At the end of the day they are still fender flares and they will damage your paint without proper precautions.
