JJC grill brackets with Hella 500 LEDs

Took advantage of the high 40s and got into teardown.

Brackets here!

He's also on Etsy but I went direct.

The brackets are super sturdy and the provided stainless hardware fit will. Received a .PDF of the instructions from Justin (JJC_LLC) when I ordered with a tool list and photos. It mentions needing a 15mm wrench but I found a 13mm was likely what he meant. The hardware provided was 13mm. Didn't encounter any 15s. Everything else was spot on. The brackets passed right through the grill first try. I did a final lining up of the brackets before refitting the bumper/grill assembly. Needed to make em even.

The Hellas were a straight Amazon buy and included all stainless hardware as well. The bottom carriage bolts are a bit too long and I'll address getting shorter ones later.

I'm not fully on board with the look of LED light diodes so they'll stay covered unless in use. I also sprung for the amber lens covers for foggy days and for a change of look.

Only ran the wiring to the lamps and in the engine bay. I'll get into the final routing into the cabin later on.

I'm into the overall look and fit.

I'll probably post again later once the final setup is done.

I'd like it much better if those bolt threads weren't so close to the grill and paint, it's gonna bounce.
Maybe a round head fastener up through rather than down through?

They should! The switch has three positions.

Absolutely agreed. The hella mounts have a square home to take a carriage bolt. So I wanted to keep it in this orientation for that. I've resolved the bolt this morning. Mounted a 20mm bolt vs a 30mm(?) It came with. The threads are not close anymore.

Shorter carriage bolts added yesterday. They do not touch but I will likely switch the orientation to the nut being up (as suggested). It'll clean up the look overall.

They will not bounce enough to matter. These brackets are solid.

Switch in. Cable routed thru the firewall grommet. Red to the positive. Black to a frame rail ground under where the air box would be if I still had it.

Need a little more alignment but we're there.

These lamps have both full on and drl options. Sadly drl will not be seen much as I'll have the covers on most of the time.

If its not clear I have the Lasfit signal bulbs. They run white until you use the turn signal.
