For many of us, the Hybrid was the cheaper model. The private offer when rolling from 22-23 was 1000 higher to offset the increase in Hybrid cost. - Happy to have went Hybrid, 50 mpg & lower cost.
I pull out the Snow-Joe Foam Snow-Dam, Ice-Scraper, and related items until December, and pull out the Sunscreen for the Windshield
I also perform a full clean up the interior & exterior from winter, give her a new coat of ceramic wax/detailer with any paint correction, and coat all the trim...
There are also some settings than can be made to help reduce the parasitic draw when the truck sits parked, if you haven't already made them. (These apply to any recent Ford)
1) Turn off Auto Connection for WiFi
2) Turn off Automatic Updates
3) Bluetooth Auto Contact Auto Download (It talks to...
Look at the newer Mach-e, with the added 'conditioner' which keeps it within a preferred temperature range, which the earlier models didn't, there are some with over 300k miles on them. - My brother's a Ford MasterTech & Shop Foreman, and mentioned the conditioner making a huge difference. (And...
As they stated, the engine spins without actually running to use the engine compression to slow the vehicle. It also occurs when letting off the accelerator once the HVB is at 80% capacity (System only charges to ~80%), even on flat terrain. Its also seems more likely to do so in cold weather...
I'd like install the install sound deadening to make my Lariat even quieter, but just hate dealing with removing the regulator, and potentially dropping the glass in the process. - It's an odd set-up for us old school owners, and I've done the deadening in three prior vehicles.
Of course it reads 'Possibly Affected', so just maybe it's only those with the 4k Trailer Control Module. To further that theory, I checked the owners manual. According to the owners manual, the Integrated Trailer Module (if equipped) is clearly referring to the 4k Tow Controller, and setting...
Dumb question, but wouldn't one of the tailgate emblem rings extend the trim out far enough to keep most of the water off the camera? - Seem like they'd basically accomplish the desired outcome?
Most of the time the drops are enough to both me when reversing, although maybe it's my compulsion...
With the cold, and snow the past few weeks, I've now checked tire pressures, wipers, and fluid three times in both our vehicles. Amazing how much washer fluid you go through to keep the windshield clean with the salt spray
What about the top of the intake valves? - Given the EB2.0 through 2024 was DI only with no Port Injection, I'd be curious what the tops of those valves look like.
Being Port Injected the Hybrid, and 2025+ (mix of DI & Port) should stay clean, DI tends to build carbon on them.
The bigger question I have is will the tailgate spoiler interfere with the tonneau cover seal along the top of the tailgate? - It's effectively razing the height by the thickness of the material & double sided tape. My rolling/cannister cover sits fairly tight on the top of the tailgate, and...
Never had mine just go full throttle on it's own like that. Starting cold does have immediately start the ICE as it should, and idle at sounds like around 1500-2000 rpms, but never races off into the great beyond. In Theory, the rev limited *should* kick in to prevent it from over-revving if...
Just not sure, as the taller units would block the lidar, and of course the stated possible uni-body issue. That said, the idea of having something to protect the front end from other drivers is appealing (I have trust issues), just not sure how much protection it would provide on a uni-body...
If you're a '23 (or '22), just memorize the keypad code, or set a personal code, should you accidentally lock the doors with the keys inside the truck.
My Lariat has never lock unintended, and 99.9% of the time I have the key in my pocket, unless I'm washing & waxing the truck. - Even the water...
If you do disconnect it, check the voltage after it sits for 12 hours without the cables connected. - If it is still drops, the battery may have issues, if it doesn't there's a parasitic draw in the system. Ford apparently uses multiple battery suppliers, sometimes for the same model battery...
After setting mine off a few times, I've simply learned to always have the buttons facing towards leg, when inserting it into my pocket. I've only every had it 'panic' when the buttons were facing outwards, which exposes them to easily being pushed should something hit your pocket. - I also...
