I'd be the last to complain about modding a vehicle. I bought my F150 with the intention and budget over $10000 specifically for aftermarket and DIY modifications.
Testing a blend of ethanol and gas is easy and the test tools inexpensive. Mix as you feel right then test for accuracy. I have...
Read that, but should have added that mixing by gallon does not equate to a specific E blend. Only testing can determine the % of ethanol and gasoline. The marked E blends on pumps can vary a lot.
My Tremor is still in shipping so unsure just what I will need, or use. I do have a mirror cam setup in the F150, vert close to the Wolfbox 9000. Front cam rear view cam and interior cam. The mirror acts as a display as well as a rear-view mirror. Kind of handy and does a very good job!
More of a post script, does the Maverick 8 speed have an external cooler? I have a Tremor ordered and assume it does but not for sure.
I'm sure many more questions will come up in the next few months.
Yes understand the changes in transmissions, still a flush does not force fluid into the transmission. The flush "machine" has valves and bladders for fresh fluid and used fluid the pumping is done by the transmission itself. My experience with a Maverick Tremor is waiting on delivery, so the...
As a new member here I am checking opinion to get the feel of participation.
So on transmission flushes, I have in 50+ years of driving did full fluid exchanges/flushes. Usually at 30000/40000 miles. The 8 speed auto used holds near 12 quarts total and only a flush will do a full exchange. I...
Just a question, doesn't the 2.0 and the 2.5 already come from the factory with air oil separators? I know the 2.0 EB used in other makes like the Focus have them. And the stock air oil separators are listed parts for Mavericks.
I'm waiting on delivery of a new Tremor, but contemplated a CC on...
So currently my new Tremor is built and waiting to ship. Odd thing the delivery is scheduled mid August and confirmed by my dealership. 2 months to get from Mexico to WI. Just have to cool the jets and mine some patience!
Thought you referred to Amsoil the reason I asked, no argument to make as there are plenty of great oils on the market. I do live in WI and Amsoil is in Superior WI so I do buy it and it is a very good oil particularly for turbo DI engines. My 2.7 regularly sees 6200 RPM, just waiting on my new...
Never could figure why some never exceed 3000 rpm, then complain about carbon buildup and turbo problems!
Mind explaining "Replaced stock oils with ams" has me thinking Amsoil. I have a Tremor ordered and use Amsoil in my 2017 F150 but Amsoil SS at my last change did not have the latest...
I like it a bunch! It is a retierment toy I bought very minimal and waiting for me to build a 2wd RCSB version of a F150 Tremor. Most of the $$$$ went into suspension some to power production and small amount of $10000 budgeted mods into exterior and interior upgrades. Cathy and I last road...
I am a fan of EBs so the 2.0 EB is a natural. I live in a rural area also so most hybrid benefits will not apply. I have no complaints about the Sterling engine but it's best place is urban/city usage. Cathy and I will be touring western states from AZ to MT along with a bunch of 10000 foot...
Ordered in March supposed to start production June 8th. Looking forward to delivery.
Currently own 2016 Edge Sport which the Tremor will replace, Edge is going to grand-kids 15 and 20. I own a modified F150 XL 2.7 2WD, on Icon shocks tuned by GearHead CVF inter-cooler , 4 inch exhaust, along...
