I love the Maverick but a bigger battery and stronger electric motor to the hybrid system would improve fuel efficiency even more. I get 39-44 MPG regularly on that tiny battery. Or a full electric version. Just eliminate the ICE engine all together.

I drove my 2024 Maverick Hybrid from Northeast Massachusetts to Naples Florida and back. No issues at all. The Hybrid effortlessly gets into the 80-90 MPH range. If you stay around 65 MPH gas mileage will be better of course

The non-Hybrid does not distinguish itself from any other small/mid size truck on the market. Gas mileage is terrible for on almost all of the non hybrid Small/Midsize trucks. Trucks that small should be able to get better gas mileage without sacrificing power. I think the mfgs do it on purpose...
