No my engine predated the head gasket issue. I went with a Livernois built long block and big turbo. So my power goals far exceeded what the stock engine would have handled. I still have the stock engine in my garage also.
About every 30k do a drain and fill. And I use amsoil low viscosity not the ultra low. Not sure if it matter but thas what was originally ok’d by amsoil.
Seems to work fine
Sometime I wish my wife worked.
She is a stay at home mom. But she puts up with all my crap. So she is not that lucky.
Her best friends husband bought a used mustang without asking. She immediately made him sell it. I bought my gt500 and never told her until I needed a ride to get it. She let...
I have also seen a slight increase in mpg with a good tune. But it is so hard to drive a full tank without getting deeper into the throttle. It’s smiles per gallon at that point.
Well time to update this thread with another one for me. Have not picked it up yet. But picking up soon and taking it to Livernois for the works. E85 and 600whp should be great for my wife’s daily.
I have livernois. I have not run 91 but I have a flexible octane tune that allows me to put 87-93 or anything in between if I can’t find e85 while traveling.
I’m not sure it’s as weak as you think. Mine has been tuned running e30 Since I bought it. I routinely tow well over the max usually 6-8k long hauls through the mountains. Also spend a bunch of time off road and in the dunes with 265 tires.
I have 100k on mine not w and the trans is doing fine...
That’s a great way to look at it. To many people get hung up on peak power which isn’t the story. As for tuners you are correct most will be very close hp wise if they are not changing knock tables or over doing it. That’s why these threads are important. I can say a solid 30 percent in the...
Another question is. Have you asked him about towing with this tune?
I’ve been under the assumption that you would still need a tow version to of the adaptive Oct tune for any towing.
Please do.
Also since you have Cobb and other tunes. What I would love To know is how it compares to say another tune dedicated to 93 octane?
Say run a half tank of 93 tuned with the adaptive x tune. Then I believe you can use a virtual dyno on the Cobb to log the output.
Then flash the 93...
Listen again this wasn’t meant to be a pissing match. But when someone asks a question or makes a statement that is false I simply corrected that.
Never once did I try and sell them on Livernois by comparing. Simply correcting the record so others on our forum don’t get dupped.
So let me get...
I use mine off road a decent amount.
I added sand mode to mine and mud mode. Different tires and a skid plate.
it’s been a very capable and even and overachiever imo.
Dang can’t believe he took the ball and went home!
Listen this wasn’t a hijacked thread. You posted about a tune you got. Everything was positive and good. You posted some things that were not completely accurate.
So you got some pushback.
Nothing I said was untrue. I posted facts about lms...
That is not true,
$650 comes with two tunes. The Cobb only comes with the Cobb it’s then you have to buy tunes from places like monster.
You are confusing the tune on fly option Livernois has from pcm tech with the multi tune.
My handheld was $600 to my house and came with
E30 tune
87-93 two...
