I have one addition. I keep a half inch drive ratchet and a deep well socket that fits the lugs and the scissor jack. You will thank me when you need to use the scissor jack:)
Just to be clear, @XL Hybrid Cactus Gray is replacing the EGR SENSOR and not the EGR valve. The sensor is the part pictured above. @Joaquin F has a link on one of his posts for an original FoMoCo part that is about $13.00 for the part and $14.00 shipping. That is a great deal!
Hello All, I replaced the sensor that @Joaquin F recommended last week. I have been P0402 free since then! It took all of about 5 minutes to replace. 1 nut and 2 vacuum lines and 1 connector. Just don't drop the nut :)

Oh you will know when it's time to replace them. While accelerating up a freeway ramp, you will notice a shimmy. Your legs will be going back and forth. If you ease up on the gas the shimmy will stop. If you get back on the gas it will start up again. It will only get worse if you don't have it...
