OK guys, I am back (yard work) the extra insulation/protection that Andy has is exactly where the leak was. The vapors from the fuel was in ther area of the EGR. The fuel was everywhere on top the engine. It was puddled, I wish I took a picture of it. Maybe the vibration of the engine caused...

Hello MTC members. I just had an interesting day today. I started my Maverick this morning and started running some errands. While pulling out of my driveway I noticed a strong gasoline odor. 13. Who still has their Maverick purchased new?

Just to be clear, @XL Hybrid Cactus Gray is replacing the EGR SENSOR and not the EGR valve. The sensor is the part pictured above. @Joaquin F has a link on one of his posts for an original FoMoCo part that is about $13.00 for the part and $14.00 shipping. That is a great deal!

Hello All, I replaced the sensor that @Joaquin F recommended last week. I have been P0402 free since then! It took all of about 5 minutes to replace. 1 nut and 2 vacuum lines and 1 connector. Just don't drop the nut :) @Darnon all software updates have been done. I did get a notice that there...

  16. Plum crazy Maverick? or Lime Light?

I kind of like it! Looks like a Hot Wheels color. Yes I know there were many Chrysler products painted this color (Plum Crazy and Ultra Violet) in the 70's. I was there!
  17. Only dumb people buy Ford Mavericks.....

@Robot-Wrangler Dude, you should have asked for the bib! Works every time!
  18. Who still has their Maverick purchased new?

Oh you will know when it's time to replace them. While accelerating up a freeway ramp, you will notice a shimmy. Your legs will be going back and forth. If you ease up on the gas the shimmy will stop. If you get back on the gas it will start up again. It will only get worse if you don't have it...
