The tires seem to ride well and are about as quite as factory tires were. MPG I really cant tell.

What bothers me the most from OP is he has extended warranty and it wont cover a battery keeps dying. That seems wrong. I get NOT replacing the battery for free BUT not fixing the issue WHY it keeps dying. I can assume they just THINK its a battery issue??
I will do mine at the three years this August . Do it wit forscan as you have a hybrid It pumps the fluid OUT for you. Just open each bleeder hit flush for each wheel location and away it goes. Just don't let the master run out .

Interesting. So it doesn't appear not changing fluid had anything to do with it. .Seems like a defect in what ever keeps that one gear from spinning. I wonder how he KNOWS that gear is not supposed to spin?
If that is the whole reason trans failed I wonder if others will fail in the same...
Did he change the fluid at 50K. I bet NOT. Other video's on youtube saying change the fluid or it fails on the older hf-35 . Will see if he takes tranny apart to see WHY it failed. HF-35 one bearing fails allowing it to destroy one the of the motors inside.
