Why that specific number? None really, other than why not? Plus, I figured it would stand out in the thread line.

My review is as follows, and has some similarities/common items with previous reviews. Scroll to the bottom for the accessories reviews with the links included.

PROS/Notable areas:

  • Consistent 40+ MPG: I drive roughly 20-25 miles daily, with a mix of city and some version of a 95 in the DMV. I use the EV coach and except for one tank during the frigid part of the winter where I drove mainly highway miles up and down I-95 where I logged 39 MPG, every tank has been above 40 MPG.
  • Quiet ride: Granted without empirical evidence this part is subjective, but compared to other cars I own, previously owned, or cars I rode/drove before, I would say the cost-to-quietness ratio is excellent.
  • Comfortable Ride: In addition to the quiet ride, and again price-point to quality, the truck rides nice, plus people who ride in the back tell me it is comfortable back there.
  • Nice overall places for internal storage (glove box/center console/under the rear bench)
CONS:
  • Interior Plastics: This is probably my biggest gripe. I am by no means a rough driver, but the plastics inside the car are not very durable. Granted, I didn’t expect a super/high-end interior finish for the overall price, but the high-use areas (e.g. inside door handles, glove box) show wear around what one would expect around the 3-5-year level at 10 months. I would understand the wear and tear of the inside driver-side if my keys were in my hand when I entered or exited the vehicle, but my keys are always in my pocket as I have the push button start. Additionally, the interior plastic door/foot-sill takes quite a bit of a beating because of the design (as opposed to a flatter truck-style, the design is more like a car-style door/foot-sill where you have to lift your feet over the sill and there ends up being a lot of contact/scuffing).
  • SYNC 3: Overall, the system is functional but there always seems to be something quirky. I posted previously about the radio resetting to 2-pages of presets. Since connecting to my home Wi-Fi network did not work properly/took too long, I eventually updated my SYNC system via a USB drive.
  • “Water-Bottle” storage: As hyped as it was in some videos, it's pretty much worthless. If you use what one would consider a standard/average size double-walled water bottle (e.g. Yeti or Hydroflask-style) none fit. Plus, there is an angle that if you put a standard 16-20 ounce plastic water bottle in the designated/with a picture water bottle section, it falls towards the back. So I now use that area for shopping bags to take with me into the store so I don’t have to pay $0.10 a bag.
Summary: I would purchase this vehicle again and recommend it to people if they were looking for what I was looking for in a new vehicle. I bought this vehicle because I wanted a solid daily driver with good gas mileage and truck-like options. I knew it wouldn't or couldn't really do F-150 or even Ranger-type things and I was okay with that. I bought pretty much every option readily available at the time. (I would have liked the 360 assist option with adaptive cruise and rear parking sensors, but for whatever reason when I ordered in 2022 for a 2023 delivery they were not available)

Accessories Installed

Steering Wheel Cover
: https://a.co/d/0wrKTjx

REVIEW: Recommend. Yes, I have the LARIAT version of the steering wheel cover, but I like the added protection, and although maybe it takes a little longer, the heated steering wheel function still works well.

Front Console Organizer: https://a.co/d/4pvXxsl

REVIEW: Recommend, I don’t store much in this area, but I think it looks good and does provide more storage area, and protection for the aforementioned easily scratched interior plastic.

Glove Box Organizer: https://a.co/d/2aXW1Bw A

REVIEW: Recommend as it allows for more organization

Center Console Organizer: https://a.co/d/9cVP7Qa

REVIEW: Maybe buy a version with one additional tray. Reason: Two trays for three storage levels is nice, but not easily accessed because whether you are driving or not, you must take out two trays to get anything at the bottom of the console. However, I liked the included two options for tray liners: black and brown “leather” that matches the car interior.

Ford Emblem Decals: https://www.bocadecals.com/collecti...1&_fid=178e3559e&_ss=c&variant=43683367878905

REVIEW: I think they look sharp with the other black exterior accessories I installed. GREAT customer service with this company. I bought mine off their page on E-Bay but found their website directly.

Maverick Tailgate Decals: https://a.co/d/gG6mrbo

REVIEW: They are decals. I think they look good and they are easy to install.

Windshield/Sunscreen: https://www.weathertech.com/ford/2023/ford-maverick-hybrid/sunshade/

REVIEW: It is nice that it fits exactly but it takes up too much room to store when driving, especially when you have passengers in the back. I bought this version because I got gift cards for X-mas. I would opt for the twist-and-fold version of a sunshade if I were to purchase one with my own money.

Bump Step: https://www.weathertech.com/bumpstep-usa/

REVIEW: I am not sure if I would purchase this without a gift card but it is nice to step on this rather than my bumper when stepping into the bed of my truck. Plus, I am in the DMV so some form of bumper guard is nice to have.

Scratch Guard: https://www.weathertech.com/ford/2023/ford-maverick-hybrid/scratch-protection/

REVIEW: I would definitely purchase some form of this regardless of having a gift card. I would imagine there is a cheaper version out there but this one from WeatherTech is nice.

Lamp Guard: https://www.weathertech.com/ford/2023/ford-maverick-hybrid/lampgard/

REVIEW: I am not sure I would have purchased this without receiving gift cards but I do like the idea of it – possibly stopping chips and cracks, and hopefully protecting against the fogging/yellowing of the lenses.

Mudflaps: https://accessories.ford.com/maverick-2022-molded-front-splash-guards-pair / https://accessories.ford.com/splash-guards-molded-rear-pair

REVIEW: They are mud-flaps. I bought these because I thought the Ford Logo looked nice.

Window Deflectors: https://accessories.ford.com/smoke-low-profile-side-window-deflectors

REVIEW: They work but even though they are made specifically for the Maverick and they “fit” they could fit better. (e.g. The deflectors didn’t line up as easily as you would think and getting it to look like the picture is again, not easy)

Hood protection: https://accessories.ford.com/maverick-2022-lund-aeroskin-smoke-hood-protector

REVIEW: Easy install and it protects the hood. I bought this one because it matched the window deflectors.

Good review.

I also enabled & use the EV Coach & Brake Coach screens and get about the same MPG you are getting. Worst trip miles: 31mpg. Best trip miles: 71mpg.

Not having major problems with scratched plastic, but I am very careful with all vehicles I've owned. Careful to lift my feet getting in/out of the truck. No scratches on the pillar where the seat belt retracts, either. But I am careful to let it slowly release when un-buckling. I never let the belt just fly back and hit the pillar.

Trouble-free in 7 months/12k miles of ownership - my only complaint is rattles I cannot find and the dealer claims they cannot hear, so they cannot/will not fix.

71! That is awesome.

I have tried to be more vigilant when I enter and exit to reduce the scuffing.

The scratches around the door handle and glove box are able to be hidden with some interior detailing.

Glad we are having similar ownership experience with minimal issues.

Hey TG.

Looks like you have added quite a few accessories in the 10 months you have had it. But one of the things I did not see was a Maverick Truck Club decal so you can properly “represent.”

Two styles/sizes available:

Maverick Truck Club Decal (Glossy) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($5 delivered)

Maverick Truck Club Decal (Transfer) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($6 delivered)

I agree - I admire all the qualities you mentioned. I loved my 22 EB for its spunk but the mpg in my 24 hybrid is amazing. Ride, handling, comfort, bed utility too.

Plastics: I feel your pain. The recycled plastics just don't seem to be as resistent to scratches. Back in the day, the plastic in my my wife's 2011 Prius was even worse than my Mav's.

Water bottle holders: I too feel they over did it. Maybe it is because the Mav has a range of over 600 miles and they wanted us to stay hydrated:clap:
